Donna's Pot Pie

This is great for taking meat leftovers (turkey, chicken, roast beef, stew, or even a thick soup) and converting into a meal. This can be made into individual pies or a large deep dish pie. Pot pies can be made with a double crust; a circle of pie dough can be filled, folded over and sealed; or topped with mash potatoes.

Ingredients:
Donna's pie shells

Filling:
Gravy or cream soup

Mixed vegetables
Diced meat
Seasoning

Directions:
Make pie crust(s). Mix ingredients in a bowl to your desired proportions. Add desired seasonings. Pour into pie crust, top with crust or potatoes. Bake for 1 hour at 400.

Donna's Teriyaki Sauce Marinade

This is an Island style teriyaki recipe from my youth in Hawaii.
Makes 1 cup

Marinade Ingredients:

2/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground ginger or fresh grated ginger
1 crushed clove garlic

Directions:

Combine the above ingredients and mix well. To keep in the refrigerator for later use– heat to just below boiling, stirring to dissolve sugar and prevent burning, cool and then pour into a bottle.

Marinating Directions:

Marinate chicken, beef, pork, turkey, or seafood for 30 minutes or longer (overnight is best). Meat may be frozen with marinade, and will marinate the meat, as it thaws in the fridge. Cook meat as usual. Grill, bake, braise (in a lid covered pan), broil, or cook in a frying pan.

Wraps and Fruity Cream Cheese Wrap Spread

The great thing about a wrap supper, is that all food groups can be in the wrap and everyone can build their own to their liking.
Ingredients:
1 small package pf cream cheese (softened)
1 teaspoon to 1 Tablespoon jam (raspberry, strawberry, or pineapple-apricot) (at Thanksgiving I use cranberry-orange nut salad in the cream cheese and add turkey to the wrap)
Directions:
Add jam to softened cream cheese 1 teaspoon at a time, until the mixture is the consistency and flavor you like, mixing well.
Spread thinly on flour tortilla and build your wrap, fold end in and roll wrap.
Wrap ingredient ideas:
Leftover chicken or turkey meat or deli meats
Thinly sliced cheese- Swiss, Jack, Provolone, Cheddar, Pepper Jack work well
Sprouts-even mixed sprouts
Thinly sliced cucumbers
Carrot, radish, broccoli shreds (large grated)
Nuts or sunflower seeds
Diced Tomatoes
